Zhao Meilin (female protagonist) – Nickname: A-Lin
An active 18-year-old. Beautiful and skilled. Raised with love by her military officer father and gentle mother. She loves everyone's smiles. As a child, she got along with everyone, but in adolescence, her childhood friend Zhang Jian began persistently talking to her. After Liu Fang started seeing her as a rival, her female friends began keeping their distance.

Zhan Ming (male protagonist) – Nickname: A-Ming
A 19-year-old who struggles to open his heart to those around him. He always wears a smile so as not to worry others. Since childhood, he has been sickly and lacks physical strength, so he lives in a wheelchair. He is very sharp-minded, and often takes on consultations (requests) from others. However, even when he is in poor health and bedridden, he still takes on these consultations, occasionally worsening his illness. He is distantly related to Zhang Jian. His father was a bureaucrat, but was killed on false charges of rebellion. He solves consultations (requests) from people seeking power to earn money, and behind the scenes, he works to clear his father's name.

Zhang Jian
Zhan Ming's rival. He excels in both literary and martial arts, but Zhan Ming is a cut above him in sharpness of mind. Since childhood, he was raised with high expectations from his father, but he often lost to Zhan Ming, and was scolded each time. This caused him to come to see Zhan Ming as an enemy. When he met Zhao Meilin in adolescence, she told him, 'It's okay to be yourself,' and from then on, he was drawn to her.

Liu Fang
She views Zhao Meilin, whom she met in adolescence, as a rival. She is the central figure among girls of the same age. Since childhood, she has not been loved much by her busy parents, and she wants everyone to pay attention to her. She is beginning to be attracted to Zhang Jian because he excels in both literary and martial arts and is a central figure among everyone.

Requested Scenes
The meeting of Zhao Meilin and Zhan Ming.
Zhao Meilin, worried that everyone might hate her, hears a rumor about someone who can solve anything. While talking with Zhan Ming upon meeting him there, they hit it off. She gradually notices that Zhan Ming sometimes forces a smile.

Zhan Ming confides his past to Zhao Meilin.
I would like this to be inserted after the story has progressed to some extent.
Why he forces a smile. The fact that he is investigating why his father died.

Zhao Meilin nurses Zhan Ming.
When she comes to chat as usual, she finds Zhan Ming exhausted before her.

Zhan Ming and Zhang Jian argue.

To investigate the truth about Zhan Ming's father, Zhao Meilin sneaks into the house of Zhang Jian's father, but is stabbed there. She barely makes it out of the house but collapses.
Zhang Jian, unaware that his father ordered his underlings to do it, runs to the knowledgeable Zhan Ming's residence. Her life is barely saved, but they argue: 'If you had run and stopped it, this wouldn't have happened!', 'Do you think you can understand my feelings?!'

Final Scene
To inform the imperial court of the truth about his father's death, they ride in a carriage through the grove, but are attacked by the perpetrator's underlings. Their own servants also die. Both are injured. The two are driven into a corner...
